When a colleague at Brandeis died
suddenly of a heart attack, Morrie went to his funeral. He came home depressed.
"What a waste," he said.
"All those people saying all those wonderful things, and Irv never got to
hear any of it."
Morrie had a better idea. He made some
calls. He chose a date. And on a cold Sunday afternoon, he was joined in his
home by a small group of friends and family for a "living funeral."
Each of them spoke and paid tribute to my old professor. Some cried. Some
laughed.

With Morrie by Mitch Albom
Morrie’s living funeral got me wondering, do people think
about how they’ll be remembered after they pass? How will generations after us
reflect on our lives? Will we be remembered for our kindness, our hugs and
loving nature, or our egos and hard heartedness? Will we be remembered by the
trials we failed or the trials we overcame? Will we be remembered for the times
we spent together and the love we shared?
My work is in an art show at the SCERA Theatre, located at 745 S State St, Orem, UT in Gallery 101. The show will be up for the month of August with a closing reception on August 30. Come enjoy a family-friendly art show!
